Originally from the Berkshire Mountains of North West Connecticut, Dana
moved to the Carolinas in 2006
to be closer to his elderly parents.
A veteran of the United States Navy, Dana began learning guitar in 1979
during a lengthy deployment at sea aboard aircraft carrier USS Coral
Sea.
Following a 15 year career as a professional and regional airline pilot,
Dana left aviation to pursue Human Services and Music as a second
career.
A seasoned skills counselor having served the developmentally disabled, Dana
also performs regularly and with great passion for senior citizens,
their families and staff at residential facilities, adult day care
centers and community senior centers.
Additionally, Dana plays in fine restaurants throughout the Carolinas.
With a broad selection of patriotic ballads and timeless romantic
melodies, his shows are entertaining and therapeutic.
Dana believes in a person-centered approach and makes a point to
interact directly with all persons in attendance.
Often, his Scottish terrier "Barney" will accompany him, adding that
extra special touch of pet therapy during his visits.
Today, Dana continues his formal education as he pursues Carolina
State licensing as a Certified Nurses Aid.
